Job description

Zünd Laser Cutter Operator

Pay: $19 – $21 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift, 7am - 3:10pm

Location: Kansas City, MO


Position Overview

We are seeking a Zünd Laser Cutter Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will operate a Zünd digital cutting system to accurately cut materials such as fabric, textiles, vinyl, foam, or similar substrates used in manufacturing and production.


The ideal candidate has experience with CNC cutting equipment, digital cutting tables, or automated fabric cutting machines and takes pride in precision, efficiency, and quality work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor a Zünd digital cutting machine to cut production materials according to specifications
  • Load materials onto the cutting table and ensure proper alignment before cutting
  • Run programmed cutting files and verify accuracy of cuts
  • Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
  • Work closely with the production team to maintain workflow and meet production deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and production guidelines


Qualifications

  • Experience operating Zünd cutters, CNC cutting machines, laser cutters, or digital cutting tables preferred
  • Experience cutting fabric, textiles, signage materials, foam, or corrugated materials is a plus
  • Ability to read and follow production instructions and cutting files
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to stand for long periods and handle production materials
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
