Job description

We are seeking a Leather Preparer and Weaver in Training to join our production team. This is a hands-on, on-site role for an emerging craftsperson who will learn how to prepare hides for weaving, dress, and weave by hand, on a 16+ harness loom.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Respectfully handle and care for leather
  • Learn the mechanical operations of, and maintain Italian machinery
  • Split, skive, and strip skins, with precision in preparation for weaving
  • Collaborate with our team to meet design requirements, and production timelines
  • Master the art of weaving
