Job description

Summary Job Description

This position operates a border machine, attaching border to fit around cushions for upholstered furniture.

Essential Duties

  • Able to sew borders, welt and zippers for different products, including leather
  • Inspect material for any flaws or defects
  • Adjust machines to stitch various types of fabrics
  • Good hand-eye coordination, concentration skills, and attention to detail
  • Reads and follows instructions to sew specs and notes provided
  • Maintains equipment and work area in an orderly manner
  • Must be able to work off production work ticket to sew fabric to request
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Works as part of a team to meet or exceed production goals

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous sewing experience a plus
