Talent Connect Solutions is hiring a Custom Upholsterer – Leather & Fabric for a growing custom manufacturing company in Frederick, MD.


If you enjoy working with your hands, have an eye for detail, and have experience working with leather, fabric, cushions, foam, or custom upholstery, this could be a great opportunity to put your skills to work.


We’re looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys seeing a project come together from start to finish.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Cut, measure, shape, and fit leather, vinyl, fabric, foam, and other upholstery materials
  • Build, shape, and cover cushions and padded components
  • Sew and assemble leather and fabric pieces
  • Operate industrial sewing machines and upholstery tools
  • Stretch, fit, staple, glue, and secure materials for a clean, professional finish
  • Read measurements, patterns, and basic work instructions
  • Inspect finished work for quality and appearance
  • Work on unique, custom-built projects
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area


We’re Looking For Someone Who


  • Has upholstery, leatherwork, sewing, furniture, automotive/marine upholstery, or similar hands-on experience
  • Is comfortable working with leather, fabric, foam, and cushions
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Can accurately measure and work with hand and power tools
  • Takes pride in producing high-quality work
  • Is dependable and works well as part of a team


Experience with industrial sewing machines is a big plus.
