JSM is a growing real estate, leasing, development, and investment firm hiring a full-time Senior Leasing Consultant located in Champaign, IL. We are looking for a candidate who is driven by sales goals, comfortable working amongst a team, and has experience providing exceptional customer service.
What you'll do
The Leasing Consultant will assist with the completion of daily Residential leasing operations and customer service activities. The essential functions of this position are listed below:
  • Prep for and conduct apartment tours, especially during open leasing season by traveling throughout the properties to meet tour parties.
  • Knowledgeable of current sales, promotions, amenities, and renovations to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Work collaboratively with Residential team members to execute leasing operations and achieve sales goals. This may include scheduling appointments, key creation, and disbursement, lease preparation, signing and execution, subleasing, filing, etc.
  • Assist with the completion of customer service-related activities such as greeting customers and visitors, answering phone calls, and responding to questions and inquiries via email.
  • Ensure properties and leases are accurately and professionally presented.
  • Track and maintain all leasing and sales-related information and reports. Assist with analyzing data and providing feedback as directed.
  • Assist Residential Leasing leadership with seasonal department projects. Some examples may include checking unit vacancies during turnover and key check-in during move-in.
  • Assist with the mentoring of Residential part-time staff by leading their on-the-job training, delegating projects, and answering questions.
  • Provide support to the Tenant Accountant by preparing daily residential payments.

  • 2 years of relevant sales and customer service experience
  • Valid driver's license; driving is a requirement

Our Leasing Consultants must be dependable and client-focused. This position is required to work some weekends based on part-time staffing and seasonal requirements.

The starting hourly range for this position reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of this posting. The pay range for this role is:
