Job description

SWBC is seeking talented students to join our College Intern Program in San Antonio, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for college students who are motivated and eager to learn within their educational field of study.

Interns will gain practical hands-on experience and training that will provide an opportunity for growth, learning and development within the financial services industry. Full-time and part-time paid internship opportunities will be available in numerous departments, which may include: Information Technology, Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, Mortgage, Insurance, Legal, PEO, Lender Placed Operations, Financial Institutions, Investment Services and Training. Interns will be placed within a specific division based on interest, experience, academic coursework, SWBC's business need, and flexibility with college/university schedule.

Essential duties include the following:

  • Assists with preparation of measurement reports showing the results of their area. Each of these areas will serve as an introduction to the operations of a successful IT department within a growing enterprise serving the financial space.
  • Learns key technical skills to apply acquired knowledge and assists in problem solving.
  • Gains practical, hands-on experience that will provide an opportunity for growth.
  • Works alongside and shadows team members while expanding knowledge base with the ability to further develop your skills.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree at an accredited university/college in Cyber Security, Information Systems, Business Management, Risk or Emergency Management, or related program.
  • While most internships are 40 hours a week during the summer, some may be available for those only able to work part time due to other obligations.
  • Expected graduation date of December 2025 or later.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills required.
  • Detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills.
  • Organized and adapt well to change.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Passion and desire for learning and a proactive energy for getting things done.
  • Display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
