Job description

WinShape Foundation is a Biblically-based Christian non-profit organization that seeks to glorify God by creating transformational, Christ-centered experiences for people in every stage of life. We do this through five core ministries that each use scriptural truth to offer summer camp, foster care, team and leader development, college student discipleship, and marriage enrichment. Scope of Position: The Director of Learning & Development serves as the strategic leader responsible for shaping the vision, direction, and execution of all professional development initiatives across the organization. The incumbent is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and sustaining of learning programs that strengthen leadership capability, support individual contributors, and advance the mission of the foundation. As a senior leader in a faithbased environment, the Director will ensure that all development efforts reflect the organization’s values, culture, and commitment to spiritual and professional growth.

 

Reports to: Senior Director, Talent Experience


  • Develop a comprehensive learning strategy that aligns with the foundation’s mission, values, and strategic priorities while leading, mentoring, and developing a team of learning professionals.
  • Ensure all learning programs reflect WinShape’s biblically based values and mission by incorporating spiritual development principles to support personal growth.
  • Create and oversee professional development programs for leaders at all levels, including emerging leaders, midlevel managers, and senior executives. Ensure the maintenance and evolution of ongoing professional development programs.
  • Build learning pathways for individual contributors that enhance skills, performance, and career growth.
  • Implement blended learning solutions (inperson, virtual, coaching, workshops, and selfpaced learning) and facilitate training for senior-level leaders.
  • Identify and utilize digital platforms and resources to deliver foundation-wide engaging content. Participate in the L&D technical and professional networking community to foster innovation.
  • Serve as a thought partner to executive leadership on talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with HR and senior leaders to identify capability gaps and design targeted development solutions. Demonstrates servant leadership and fosters an environment rooted in respect, compassion, and integrity.
  • Support change management initiatives through training, communication, and leadership alignment.
  • Establish and manage vendor relationships, consultants, and external training partners.
  • Some travel is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in organizational development, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, Education, or related field preferred.
  • A self-professing Christ follower,actively involved in a Christian faith community and actively pursuing Christ with consistency.
  • 8 - 10 years of progressive experience in learning & development, organizational development, or talent management.
  • Proven experience directly leading teams and influencing senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing leadership development and professional learning programs.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate organizational strategy into actionable learning initiatives.
  • This role requires onsite work in the greater Rome, Georgia area at least three days per week, with a higher onsite commitment during the initial period to facilitate relationship building and cultural acclimation.
  • Must reside within 60 miles of the Rome Retreat, and less than 150 miles from the Atlanta Support Center.
    • We may offer relocation assistance to support qualified candidates moving for this role.
  • Attend WinShape Foundation gatherings and events, including but not limited to the ONE Conference, Fall Rally, town halls, and other meetings as communicated by the leadership team.

Location: Rome, GA – Mt. Berry Campus

 

FLSA Status: Regular Full-Time, Exempt
