Position Description
Position Summary
The Assistant Project Manager Reports directly to the Project Managers and supports the Project Team. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for keeping projects safe, on time, and on budget while emphasizing quality, project planning, and setting and achieving goals. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for keeping key management personnel aware of a project's status and coordinating with external parties and internal departments to ensure the project's success. Emphasizes Faulconer's Core Values at all times.
Primary Job Responsibilities
    • Participate and support project review meetings
    • Coordinate with accounting to provide Bond and COI as required by contract
    • Assist in cost code development and entering budget into company software
    • Manage documentation control throughout the project by entering and tracking Purchase Orders, Change Orders, Pay Applications, project invoices, Cost Codes, Miss Utility tickets, and Submittals.
    • Produce and maintain project schedule with regular updates and submissions to clients
    • Manage small projects or PM duties with support
    • Assist in Dig Board development and management
    • Develop Subcontracts, including cost, production tracking, entry, and change management, and coordinate with Subcontractors
    • Submit RFI and track log through issue resolution
    • Assist in field staffing planning, development, and training
    • Upload the latest plans and specifications into Procore as requested by Project Management
    • Assist in P6 Scheduling - data entry, development and updating
    • Assist Project Management in overall project cost tracking and learning how to complete Cost to Completes on a project-specific basis

Expectations
    • This position operates in both an office and on construction sites
    • Will be exposed to various weather conditions, working around moving machinery/equipment, excessive noise, and dust/dirt on job sites
    • Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as protective eyewear, safety vests, hard hats, and appropriate footwear

Position Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 3-5 years working in a construction environment
    • Familiarity with construction processes
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
    • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies (Heavy Job, Viewpoint, P6, Heavy Bid, Procore, etc.)
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks quickly and accurately
    • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
    • Detail oriented and organized
    • Ability to communicate effectively within a large team setting

Work Authorization / Security Clearance
    • Employee must be eligible to work in the United States.
    • Drug screens are required after an offer is accepted, and continued employment is based on the initial drug screen and any future/random drug screens administered.
    • A background check will be required.
    • A confidentiality agreement may be required.
    • Driving records may be required.
    • Further clearance may be required by clients (i.e. government or military site access).
