We're seeking a senior, execution-focused Senior Technical Program Manager to lead delivery of a high-impact initiative central to PitchBook's growth strategy. This role will drive cross-functional execution for a new deal sourcing product, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Commercial teams to translate strategic vision into scalable, measurable outcomes. As the program leader, you will bring structure to ambiguity aligning stakeholders around clear goals, milestones, and success metrics while managing complex dependencies across teams and systems. You will ensure disciplined planning, risk management, and delivery predictability as the product evolves from early concept through launch and scale.
This highly visible role requires strong technical fluency, operational rigor, and the ability to synthesize diverse inputs into actionable execution plans. A critical dimension of this role is executive-level communication, you will regularly engage with C-suite and senior leadership, translating complex technical and program details into clear, concise narratives that drive alignment and informed decision-making. You will proactively identify risks, manage tradeoffs across scope and schedule, and maintain executive visibility in progress and outcomes. Success in this role requires influence without authority, a bias for action, and the ability to drive alignment across executive leadership, engineering, and commercial teams to deliver a market-defining solution.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Drive end-to-end execution of strategic, cross-functional initiatives across Product, Design, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams, aligning vision to execution and ensuring successful delivery and market readiness
  • Translate technical strategy into structured execution plans, defining milestones, deliverables, success metrics, resource needs, and measurable business outcomes
  • Identify and drive resolution of execution roadblocks, surfacing risks early, challenging misaligned assumptions, clarifying tradeoffs, and presenting solution paths that enable timely, well-informed leadership decisions
  • Drive cross-team alignment and dependency management, mapping system, roadmap, and integration dependencies while proactively managing sequencing risks and tradeoffs across scope, schedule, and resources
  • Identify and mitigate execution risks and blockers, escalating when appropriate to maintain delivery predictability and momentum
  • Serve as the primary communication bridge between technical teams and executive leadership, including C-suite stakeholders distilling program status, risks, and strategic decisions
  • Drive program visibility and governance through executive and steering committee facilitation and decision-ready written communications (status reports, executive briefs, decision memos, and risk summaries) ensuring clear decisions and accountable outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organization from engineers to executives fostering transparency, managing expectations proactively, and ensuring consistent alignment on priorities and progress
  • Bring structure to ambiguity and improve delivery rigor, coaching teams on planning discipline, and continuous improvement of program management standards
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management leading complex, cross-functional software or platform initiatives
  • Strong technical fluency with the ability to engage in architecture and system design discussions and translate technical concepts into business impact
  • Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-scale, platform, or vendor-integrated systems across multiple teams
  • Proven ability to manage dependencies, integration challenges, and risk across interconnected systems and roadmaps
  • Experience partnering with engineering leadership and enterprise architects to influence design decisions and ensure cross-system alignment
  • Strong program management fundamentals, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and stakeholder communication
  • Proven track record of engaging directly with C-suite and senior executive stakeholders presenting program updates, escalating risks, and facilitating high-stakes decisions with clarity and confidence
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels tailoring messaging from highly technical engineering discussions to board-level strategic narratives
  • Analytical mindset with experience building reporting frameworks and using data to drive prioritization and execution decisions
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while managing competing priorities
  • Experience leading cross-functional delivery of AI-powered product capabilities, with working knowledge of large language models (LLMs), model evaluation frameworks, and key production trade-offs such as latency, cost, reliability, and integration complexity
  • Strong executive presence with polished written and verbal communication skills; comfortable leading high-visibility meetings, steering committees, and executive briefings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging stakeholders across varying levels of seniority
