Who We Are

HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Network Engineer to work on a team executing integration efforts on the Modeling, Simulation, and Training team at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center - Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis, AFB, NV. This position is part of a team that provides on-site M&S support to establish and deliver high-end Advanced Tactics, Training, and Test capability for Government personnel operating under USAFWC/ACC; Provide mission execution and support to broad range of JITTC-N simulator activities and Joint Simulation Environment (JSE).

What You Will Do

The Modeling and Simulation Network Engineer will be part of a larger team that addresses overarching systems administration, networking, Information Technology support for a robust integration effort supporting the integration of multiple complex JSE based JITTC-N simulators and advanced JSE Battlespace enclaves with various security levels up to TS and beyond.


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
   Designing and planning network systems.
   Providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
   Providing specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
   Conducting testing of network systems.
   Maintaining technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
   Evaluating and reporting on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

What You Must Have

   5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
   Must have a current Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification - https://public.cyber.mil/wid/cwmp/dod-approved-8570-baseline-certifications/
   Must have had an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months.
   Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI and relevant SAP/SARClearance.
   Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule to support customer requirements.
   Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Requirements

   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in a related field.
   Previous DoD simulation Networking experience.
   RMF knowledge of DISA process.
   Previous experience with JSE and/or Modeling and Simulation network systems.
   Strong Network Engineering background.
   Strong working knowledge of Microsoft domain controllers, Virtual Machines (VM), VMWARE, ACAS scanning, STIG compliance and layer 2 and 3 network devices (switches and routers).

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
