Summary:
The Manager of Extended Learning & Network Support is responsible for leading and managing K-12 Summer Learning opportunities in BVSD and overseeing student attendance and engagement processes and personnel. This includes staff recruitment and evaluation, budget oversight, operational logistics, and serving as a key liaison between schools, district leadership, families, community partners, and truancy courts. The role also supports district wide student events such as the Science Fair, Spelling Bee, and National History Day in partnership with academic departments. Additionally, the Coordinator collaborates with the Schools Team to align initiatives with the BVSD Strategic Plan and monitor implementation metrics. Oversight of district wide student attendance and engagement processes and related personnel also falls under this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee student attendance and engagement processes and personnel. Assure identification of students at risk of truancy and support schools and district staff in developing and implementing interventions through the MTSS model to address engagement and attendance.
  • Hire and supervise district staff who support attendance and engagement, and summer learning staff.
  • Develop and implement training for appropriate employee groups related to attendance and engagement (e.g. attendance advocates, engagement specialists, registrars) and for all employees in the Summer Learning Program including staff development, personnel issues, and district initiatives.
  • Create and present verbal, visual and written materials; i.e. slide presentations, marketing materials and logistical information regarding summer learning and district events.
  • Manage and oversee truancy grant, Summer Learning, and various district event budgets and implement changes as needed to stay in budget.
  • Coordinate with schools and legal department on truancy activities with community partners and appear in support of interventions with truancy courts as required by state law.
  • Manage logistics, communication, necessary collaboration and event day oversight for the support and completion of district wide events.
  • Collaborate with Network Leadership to create implementation metrics documentation and communication documents for use with schools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Master's Degree
  • Minimum of three years of experience in: Licensed PK12 Role
  • Must currently hold a Colorado Department of Education Principal License (K-12)
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Complete and summited BVSD online application.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Advanced curriculum knowledge
Salary Information:
Salary Range 9: $98,284.00 - $147,425.00
Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
*Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule).
