Job description

Position Summary

The National Integration Specialist is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and optimization of company machinery and integrated work cells. This role ensures seamless data exchange and functionality between interconnected machines or single units for optimal performance. In addition to performing installations and start-up services, the Specialist provides advanced troubleshooting, software integration, and customer support to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Acting as a technical expert, this position contributes to product improvement initiatives and supports demonstrations and training to enhance customer experience and operational success.

Essential Functions:

  • Commissioning
    • Perform start-up services, and operational instruction in accordance with contractual obligations.
    • Execute integration and cell line commissioning in production facilities to ensure optimal machine performance.
    • Maintain demonstration equipment and assist with customer presentations and demonstrations as requested.
  • Technical Support & Problem Resolution
    • Provide advanced troubleshooting and corrective action to resolve equipment issues promptly.
    • Manipulate existing or develop new software code as required to achieve optimal machine performance.
    • Maintain strong customer relationships by delivering timely solutions and professional support.
  • Reporting & Documentation
    • Submit detailed service reports outlining work performed, issues encountered, and customer feedback.
    • Make recommendations for product improvements that enhance reliability and operational efficiency.
    • Document integration processes and share best practices with internal teams.
  • Continuous Learning & Collaboration
    • Stay current on equipment functionality, maintenance and procedures by collaborating with vendor technicians and installers.
    • Share knowledge and submit reports for review to support team development and technical consistency.ย 
  • Cross-Functional Support
    • Work closely with Service Managers, Regional Service teams, and other internal departments to align integration efforts with organizational goals.
    • Support demonstrations and training initiatives to promote customer understanding and adoption of integrated solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5โ€“10 years of experience servicing machinery (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic systems).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
  • Proficiency in software integration and basic programming skills for machine optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on root cause resolution.
  • Strong communication skills for customer interaction and technical reporting.
  • Willingness to travel (75%) nationally as required for installations and customer support.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word)
  • Effective communication skills, ability to network, and problem solve
  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • SAP and Salesforce experience is preferred
