In a sector undergoing a major transformation, claims specialists play a key role: they proactively and responsibly manage claims while also contributing to people's well-being and financial security.As a Disability case manager, you help process life and health insurance claims, promote occupational health, and manage disabilities. Your creativity, curiosity, adaptability, and collaboration will have a positive impact on people's lives, and you will contribute to the financial security of our members and clients. Join a great team that will enable you to develop your knowledge of the insurance industry and your customer service skills, giving you the opportunity to follow diversified career paths and acquire expertise in the life and health insurance sector. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Develop strategies and build strong relationships to establish an intervention plan to facilitate the insured's recovery and return to work in a timely and sustainable manner

  • Communicate by phone and mail with various parties to develop a comprehensive understanding of the elements and context related to the absence and communicate decisions to the insured and the policyholder

  • Approve and adjudicate claims, process waivers of premium, establish the amount of the benefit, determine the period payable and proceed with the payment and ensure the necessary follow-ups are completed

  • Prepare documents needed by the organization's rehabilitation coordinator for claimant interviews. Review claims with medical consultants and the legal department as required

  • Process disability claims in accordance with the terms of the group insurance contract

What you bring to the table
