What You'll Doย 

  • Own the end-to-end product development vision across hard and soft goods,ย driving newย innovativeย product launches, quality, and profitability while building cohesive product lines with consistent design language, performance standards, and brand storytelling aligned to businessย objectivesย across marketplace and retail channels.ย 

  • Continuously improve product development processes to enhance efficiency, accelerate launch timelines, and increase overall success rates of new product introductions.ย 

  • Translate consumer insights, data, and market trends into longโ€‘term product roadmaps.ย 

  • Drive innovation beyond incremental attribute changes:ย introducing new materials, designs, and product concepts.ย 

  • Bridge the gap between digitalโ€‘first product development and physical retail requirements, including packaging, shelf presence, and line reviews.ย 

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing,ย Supply Chain, Finance, Brand Creative,ย and the new CCO to ensure assortments meet retailer needs, pricing strategy, brand position, and channel differentiation.ย 

  • Represent Gorilla Commerce in global trade showsย andย to identifyย emerging trends in design,ย materials, and manufacturing.ย 

  • Participate in retailer line reviews and strategic conversations with key partners such as Walmart.ย 

  • Lead, mentor, and build a growing product development organization, while assessing current capabilities and shaping the future structure across design, engineering,ย compliance,ย innovation, and product development.ย 

  • Set clear standards, processes, and accountability across the PD organization.ย 


What You'llย Bring
  • Strategic, data-driven, product-minded leader, who can also beย hands-onย and tactical when neededย 

  • Proven experience leadingย innovativeย product development for both hard goods and soft goodsย 

  • Experience with packaging, PLM systems, and package testingย 

  • Familiarity with working with Asian manufacturersย primarily on R&Dย 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and build processes from the ground up.ย 

  • Category experience in kitchen, home, pet, baby, toys, or adjacent consumer goodsย 

  • Background working on a true consumer brandย 

  • Experience with highโ€‘volume,ย relatively simpleย consumer products rather than lowโ€‘SKU,ย highly complexย technical products.ย 

  • Demonstrated success translating products from eโ€‘commerce into omnichannel and physical retail environments.ย 

  • Experience developing massโ€‘market, everyday household products.ย 

  • Experience building and leading teamsย thatย includeย product developers,ย design,ย and engineeringย capabilitiesย 

  • Strong communicator with ability to influence cross-functionally.ย 

  • Ability to travelย approximately 15% per year to trade shows, factory visits, and retailer meetings.ย
