Summary
The Learning & Development Lead plays a key role in developing leadership capability and team effectiveness across Simplot. This position facilitates leadership development programs, partners with leaders to diagnose organizational and team challenges, and delivers solutions that support employee growth and business performance.
The successful candidate will serve as a trusted consultant to leaders, facilitating impactful learning experiences, leading team effectiveness sessions, and managing development initiatives from planning through execution. This role requires strong facilitation skills, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to translate business needs into meaningful learning and development solutions. Spanish language fluency is highly preferred due to ongoing leadership development support across Latin America.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate leadership development programs, including Leadership Foundations, Leadership Essentials, and other leadership learning experiences for leaders at various levels across the organization.
  • Partner with leaders and HR stakeholders to assess team and organizational needs, conduct discovery conversations, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate learning or team effectiveness solutions.
  • Design, coordinate, and execute leadership development and team effectiveness initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Facilitate team effectiveness workshops and assessments, including sessions focused on communication, collaboration, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Build strong partnerships with leaders, HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and external vendors to support leadership development efforts across the organization.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and leverage participant feedback, business insights, and performance data to continuously improve learning solutions.
  • Stay current on leadership development, facilitation, and organizational effectiveness best practices and bring innovative approaches to Simplot's learning strategy.

Typical Education
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
Relevant Experience
  • Five to eight years of experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating leadership development programs, workshops, or team effectiveness sessions.
  • Experience consulting with leaders and stakeholders to identify needs and implement development solutions.
  • Experience managing projects and coordinating multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Leadership or business experience outside of traditional Learning & Development roles is strongly valued. Candidates who have directly led teams or worked in operational environments are encouraged to apply.

Other Information
  • Fluent Spanish language skills are highly preferred to support leadership development programs and facilitation across Latin America.
  • French language fluency is a plus.
  • Experience facilitating senior leader audiences is strongly preferred.
  • Interview process will include a live facilitation exercise.
  • Occasional travel, including international travel to Latin America, may be required.
