Overview:
The Learning & Development Manager leads the design, delivery and evaluation of learning programs that build organizational capability, strengthen leadership skills, and support employee success. This role oversees the HR Specialists, owns the strategy and execution of both in-person and virtual New Hire Orientation, and develops scalable training programs for frontline and corporate managers. The L&D Manager partners closely with HR and business leaders to ensure learning solutions are aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
  • Supervise and develop the HR Specialists, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency in the new hire experience.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to support professional development and service excellence.

New Hire Orientation & Onboarding Excellence
  • Lead the full redesign of New Hire Orientation (NHO) to support both in-person and virtual/hybrid formats.
  • Ensure NHO is engaging, branded, compliant, aligned to culture, and effectively transitions new hires into their roles.
  • Establish standard work, playbooks, and delivery guidelines for onboarding facilitators.

Training Program Development
  • Design, build, and maintain a complete frontline manager training curriculum (supervisors, warehouse leads, transportation managers, manufacturing managers).
  • Develop and deliver corporate manager training, including leadership skills, feedback, coaching, communication, performance management, and compliance elements.
  • Create content using modern instruction design methodologies (ADDIE, blended learning, microlearning, scenario-based learning) appropriate for a diverse audience base.

Facilitation & Delivery
  • Serve as the lead facilitator for high-impact leadership, management, and culture programs.
  • Deliver training both in-person and virtually, using engaging, interactive, learner-centered techniques.
  • Model best-in-class facilitation techniques and coach others to elevate their delivery.

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Evaluate learning technologies and tools to support corporate and business units that deliver specific functional training
  • Support competency development and leadership pipeline programs.
  • Partner with HRBPs to address skill gaps and identify targeted development solutions.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, dashboards and business metrics.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 5+ years of L&D or OD experience with strong instructional design and facilitation background.
  • Demonstrated experience designing both frontline and corporate leadership training.
  • Expert-level delivery and facilitation skills for diverse audiences and environments.
  • Proven experience leading onboarding and NHO redesign initiatives (in-person and virtual).
  • Spanish fluency required.
  • Experience working in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or similar operational environments preferred.
