The Identification and Interrogator Products Directorate, within the Collins Aerospace Mission Systems team, is seeking a Program Manager (PM) to lead Product Development and Platform Integration across multiple domestic and international platforms. Immediate responsibilities include managing multiple production contracts and supporting existing product deliveries. Duties include management of all cost, schedule, and technical execution of assigned programs. The individual will work closely with multiple customers and will require solid interpersonal /relationship skills to secure new business in support of the IFF Annual Operating Plan (AOP) commitments.
The Program Manager (PM) will communicate with management (and/or customers) through briefing packages, EACs, and technical proposals, Gate Reviews and present Program Plans that accurately reflect the program's health and must be achievable. Since there are generally no direct reports to the PM in a matrixed organization, the PM must have good communication skills to engage the team and functional management to achieve results. This will include working with section and department managers to ensure the team members have the correct technical skills to execute the program. The PM must continue to evaluate the needed skills and develop high performing teams. Given the size and complexity of these efforts, delegation and supervision of work products is necessary to ensure technical results as well as cost and schedule.
This position can sit at either our Aberdeen, MD or Largo, FL locations. Relocation is not provided.
What You Will Do:
  • Accountable for the full lifecycle of products and services from inception through completion, inclusive of pursuit and order capture, design and development, produce to deliver, service/support, and long-term strategic business plans
  • Assigned as the chair of the Program Management Team (PMT) accountable for managing the contract lifecycle, cost schedule, performance and on-time delivery of company programs
  • Serves as the face of the organization to clients and customers
  • Has Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for a specified value stream or group of value streams within a business segment or portfolio

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience leading multi-disciplined teams, experience creating/pursuing leads and winning military and/or commercial contract awards
  • Typically requires: Bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • PM experience for programs valued up to $25M
  • Experience working in the defense and/or aerospace market with U.S. Department of Defense or other Government agencies and OEMs
  • Demonstrated experience in leading development programs and Capture/proposals
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and sustain positive customer relationships
  • Demonstrated understanding and proficient use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management or similar business processes
  • Proficient in managing multiple contract types (CPFF, FFP, DCS, FMS)
  • Effective communication/presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to engage foreign customers and travel both domestically and internationally as required, (~25%)

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Knowledge of IFF, Airborne Radio or Radar Systems, Production systems
  • Avionics development, certification, and prime mission system integration support
  • Strong experience and relationships within US DoD and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) aviation community
  • Experience leading larger production scope contracts including post delivery customer support
  • Experience with International Direct Commercial Sales and Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
  • Direct involvement working through ITAR, Export/Import and licensing regulations
  • Subcontractor management for technical development efforts.
  • EV Certified / PM Certification
  • Preference for a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management or similar field

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
