Job description

LaBella is currently seeking an Environmental Program Manager leading our Eastern NY team for our Environmental Division in our Permitting & Compliance Department. The proper candidate should be self-sufficient, have experience managing and proposing projects, marketing clients, maintaining existing clients, and be comfortable managing/mentoring junior staff. This position creates an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to establish themselves within a growing and stable company while working within a corporate culture that encourages professional growth in a positive environment.

Hybrid (home/office) work schedules are available for this position.

Duties:

Manage environmental projects, with a focus on wetlands, species, and stormwater
Work with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
Maintain, manage, and expand client relationships across our footprint
Identify and pursue project opportunities
Prepare proposals and project budgets
Manage and mentor junior level staff
Manage, lead and help grow our Eastern NY permitting team

Requirements

Minimum BS or BA in Environmental, Ecology, or Biology.

8 to 15 years of experience in delineation, permitting, jurisdictional determinations, etc. of freshwater wetlands and streams.

Knowledge of New York local, state and federal regulations as it related to wetlands, stream and protected species

Ability to review, edit, and provide QA/QC for deliverables.

Experience cost estimating and proposing projects

Must be self-sufficient and self-motivated

Must be comfortable being a firm representative (i.e. maintain, pursue, and establish client business relationships)

Salary commensurate with experience.

Fast-paced environmental consulting/engineering practice.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
