Job Summary

Active Imaginations Child Development Center is seeking a dependable and nurturing Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The teacher will provide a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for young children while promoting their social, emotional, and developmental growth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well being of all children in the classroom
• Plan and implement age appropriate learning activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
• Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth
• Follow all Kentucky childcare licensing regulations and center policies
• Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child’s progress and daily activities
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
• Maintain proper supervision and positive classroom management

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience working with children preferred
• CDA or early childhood education coursework preferred but not required
• Must pass required background checks
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work well in a team environment
