Job Description:

Hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite and 1 day working remotely. Only candidates living in the Louisville Metropolitan area will be considered for this position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Partners closely with HR and L&OD Director to implement, support, and facilitate learning and development initiatives.
  • Assists with the implementation and review of learning programs and instructor evaluation reports.
  • Conducts train-the-trainer sessions and provides ongoing support for SCS colleagues who conduct training as an adjunct facilitator for the SCS Training Institute.
  • Offers direction and support for learning and development programs and practices in partnership with HR, L&OD team, and business leaders.
  • Assists with the instructional design of new and existing learning programs.
  • Occasionally delivers standard behavioral health training for external community partners and other organizations as requested.
  • Ensures that all L&OD tasks adhere to the values of SCS and the guiding principles.
  • Directly supports a positive and inclusive organizational culture by utilizing best practices when executing L&OD tasks.
  • Assists in other administrative and logistical tasks associated with learning and development programs.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Preferred Education:
    • Master's degree in organizational development (OD), Adult Learning, Instructional Design; Workforce Education and Development, Communications, or related field
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development)
    • ATD Training Certificate Program Certifications (Facilitating Training, Training & Facilitation, or Instructional Design)

EXPERIENCE

  • Three years of experience in learning and/or training and facilitation to include one or more of the following: Design and delivery of instructor-led training (live and/or virtual); Leading staff and/or leadership development and professional skills training; Evaluating training effectiveness through surveys, assessments, and performance metrics
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Organizational Development
    • HR

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Position requires lifting of 20 pounds maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds, and significant periods of standing.
  • Occasional minor discomforts from continual exposure to video display terminal.

Within the bounds of their respective job descriptions, all staff are expected to exercise principle-centered leadership, focused on customer service responsiveness, with continuous quality improvement orientation. Additionally, all staff are expected to develop a working knowledge of and follow all policies and procedures related to safety management and other Joint Commission standards.
