Job Summary
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM AND SUMMER PROGRAM STAFF
WORK HOURS:
16-20 hours/week
Approximate schedule:
During the Summer 6/17/24-8/2/24:
Three shifts available:
7am-3:30pm
7:30am-4pm
8:00am-4:30pm
During the school year, starting 8/12/24:
2pm-6pm - M, T, TH, F
12:00pm-6pm - Wednesdays

Job Purpose Statement/s:
Working under the supervision of the Extended Learning Program Coordinator provides instruction, works independently by managing classroom and students. Required to have a broad range of specialized skills and knowledge in order to provide instruction and maintain a classroom supportive of learning and enrichment opportunities.
Will assist the Extended Learning Program Coordinator with completing required paperwork and other tasks to ensure the program runs smoothly.
Essential Job Functions:
* Monitors students during meal periods and recesses for the purpose of providing for the safety and welfare of students.
* Provides academic tutoring support to students (small groups in reading and math)
*Provides enrichment-related activities to students
*Demonstrates effective classroom management strategies to keep students engaged in a safe learning environment
* Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.
* Implements restorative practices and the school's discipline policy
Job Requirements - Qualifications:
* Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
โ€ข Skill to use English in both written and verbal form and make common sense decisions.
โ€ข Knowledge of campus and student safety.
โ€ข Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, understand oral and written instruction.
