Fairfax Radiology Centers — the largest radiology practice in Northern Virginia — is seeking an Imaging Center Hospitality Associate to join our team in Annandale, Virginia.

As the first point of contact for our patients and their families, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a welcoming, seamless, and supportive experience. About the Role
This is a full-time, benefitted position located in our Fairfax Radiology Center at Woodburn.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (No weekends, major holidays, or call!)
  • Perks: Free on-site parking, and uniform allowance

What You’ll Do
  • Greet all patients and guests promptly, providing a friendly and professional welcome
  • Assist patients with the check-in process, including obtaining ID, orders, insurance information, and payments
  • Register patients accurately in RIS, scan necessary documents, and ensure data integrity for billing and claims
  • Verify orders and pre-authorizations in MedInformatics (MI); escalate discrepancies as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized reception and waiting area to ensure a comfortable, patient-focused environment
  • Monitor patient arrivals and wait times, keeping patients informed of delays and escalating concerns to the Radiology Center Manager when necessary
  • Answer and screen calls courteously following FRC Phone Etiquette Rules; transfer or relay information as appropriate
  • Assist with same-day scheduling needs, walk-in x-rays, and other exams within the center
  • Provide additional support tasks such as burning/loading DVDs and releasing records
  • Uphold confidentiality, comply with OSHA, HIPAA, and other federal/state regulations

What You’ll Bring
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience (healthcare experience a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to demonstrate respect, empathy, and professionalism even in stressful situations
  • Comfort interacting with patients while handling administrative tasks
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a busy environment
  • Proficiency with computers, ability to toggle between multiple screens, and efficient keyboard use
  • Enthusiasm, professionalism, and a solution-oriented approach
  • Ability to move throughout the office and handle items at/above/below desk level
