Position Summary

As a Lead Teacher, you will work side-by-side with fellow educators, center leadership, and families to provide a warm, safe, and engaging classroom experience aligned with NAEYC standards and best practices.

This role offers strong day-to-day support from both your classroom team and center leadership to help ensure successful classroom management, smooth transitions, and compliance with ratio standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years
  • Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and curriculum
  • Develop engaging classroom activities based on children’s interests and learning styles
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment
  • Partner with families to support each child’s growth and development
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding milestones and daily progress
  • Collaborate with support staff and leadership to maintain classroom ratios and classroom flow
  • Help create a true home-away-from-home for children and families
  • Inspire creativity, confidence, and social-emotional growth in young learners

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
    OR
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
    OR
  • Career Pathway Level 3

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care setting
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Must meet all state requirements for child care employment
