Teacher Assistant:

What youโll need to be our Teacher Assistant:
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or be willing to enroll in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of hire.
- Ability and willingness to work directly with young children in a hands-on classroom environment.
- Ability to support the implementation of developmentally appropriate learning experiences and positive child guidance practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associateโs degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework in early childhood education.
- Bachelorโs degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework in early childhood education.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom or early childhood setting.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs.

What youโll do as the Teacher Assistant:
Support teaching staff in implementing curriculum and daily lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
Actively supervise and engage children to ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
Assist with behavior management, assessments, and documentation to support individualized learning and school readiness
Collaborate with teachers and families to enhance educational outcomes
Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment that supports safety and efficiency

Rural Utah Child Development (RUCD) is a comprehensive child development program designed to meet the educational, emotional, social, and health needs of children. The RUCD team works well together to provide strong support and leadership, creating a consistent and quality learning environment. Children receive individualized lesson plans with developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and families are involved with their childrenโs education while they receive assistance with personal goals, parenting information, and leadership through parent committees and Policy Council. Full-time, 40 hours per week, MondayโFriday, 8-hour workdays. Position operates on a 42-week program year schedule with summers off.
