Position Profile
Weaver is looking for a Tax Senior Associate with Energy experience to join our growing firm! They will be responsible for providing federal tax compliance and planning services to Weaver's Energy clients.
A Weaver Senior Associate is a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity. This individual has the opportunity to assist and mentor less experienced teammates.
To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience, industry experience, or a combination of both
  • Technical expertise in tax planning and execution for Energy clients
  • Experience preparing federal tax returns

Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:
  • Master's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to mentor and help develop less experienced staff
