ESSENTIALย DUTIES ANDย RESPONSIBILITIESย MAY

Providesย support toย studentsย during instruction.
Implements teacherย lessonย plans withย individualsย orย smallย groups ofย students.
Worksย underย theย directionย ofย theย teacher toย provideย instructionย toย individualย orย small groups of students.
Assistsย with dataย collection,ย testing,ย andย studentย assessment.
Assists with the implementation of the Individual Education Programs (IEP) and Individualizedย Family Serviceย Plansย (IFSP)forย studentsย with specialย needsย depending on placement.
Monitorsย student behaviorย andย implementsย behavioralย strategiesย andย interventionย plans.
Provides assistanceย withย personalย careย needsย ofย studentsย including,ย butย notย limited to, lifting, transferring, feeding, toileting, and restraint as required.
Preparesย instructionalย materialsย forย studentsย asย directed.
Assistsย withย school-wideย duties including,ย butย notย limitedย to,ย fieldย trips, school assemblies, class coverage, bus duty, and the computer lab.
Participatesย inย professionalย developmentย programsย asย assigned.
Worksย with studentsย viaย digitalย platform(s)ย toย provideย supportย duringย instruction,ย assist with data collection, testing, and student assessment.
Performsย otherย work-relatedย dutiesย asย assigned,ย whichย isย inclusiveย ofย in-personย duties and virtual duties as applicable.
SALARY
This is a full-timeย ten-monthย position. Salary rangeย basedย on the FYย 2025-2026ย HCEA- ESPย Salaryย Scheduleย forย Paraeducatorย Personnel.ย Startingย Salary:ย $27,918-ย Maximum Earnings Potential $45,749.

FLSA: Non-Exempt
TRAININGย AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or GED, and
associateย ofย arts degreeย orย higher fromย anย accreditedย collegeย orย university;ย or
CDAย Certificateย (Childย Developmentย Associate)ย http://www.cdacouncil.org/ย with 48 college credit with grade "C" or higher; or
CDA Certificate (Child Development Associate) with a passing score on a paraprofessional exam which includes:
ParaPro score of 455 or higher taken on or before August 31, 2026
ParaPathways (5757): Reading and Writing with a score of 332 or higher AND ParaPathways: Mathematics with a score of 334 or higher
Foundations of Classroom Support (517) with a score of 220 or higher
Foundations of Classroom Support and Instruction (519) with a score of 220 or higher
Possessย strong verbal,ย written,ย and interpersonalย skills.
Ableย toย beย trainedย inย andย performย properย restraintย techniques.
Able to meet physical requirements of position which are considered essential job functions,ย with orย withoutย accommodation, byย passing pre-employment exam. Such requirementsย directlyย supportย studentsย andย include,ย but areย notย limitedย to,ย squatting, kneeling, and ability to lift and transfer students weighing up to 40 pounds.
Experienceย workingย withย studentsย with disabilitiesย preferred.
Possessย specificย skillsย asย dictatedย byย theย needs ofย theย students,ย e.g.,ย signย language, ability to lift heavy objects, address medical needs, etc.
