Job description

The Goddard School at Center Valley is growing by leaps and bounds! We are hiring teachers for full time and part time positions for immediate and fall starts.

The Goddard School is a renowned program and a leader in the preschool industry. With growth in enrollment we are looking for Lead and Assistant Teachers for our program for an immediate start date.

The focus of our program is to provide a life-long love of learning. Our staff is made of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child’s needs. They are qualified educators who use their creativity and the Goddard Developmental Guidelines as the basis for unique lesson plans that are brought to life in a fun and imaginative way.

We are looking for a fun and energetic Lead and Assistant Teachers. Your job will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
  • Educating Children: Advancing children’s physical and intellectual competence. Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
  • Nurturing Children: Supporting each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance. Ensure an effective program, responsive to children’s needs
  • Being a Communicator: Establish positive and effective family relations
  • Being a Team Player: Participate in staff and training meetings. Committing to continuing education. Maintaining professional commitment.

Requirements

  • Bring your smile, a great personality and strong communication skills to work!
  • A CDA or Degree in Education or Early Childhood Education highly preferred, as well as experience working with young children.
  • You will need the following before the job offer is made: A current physical examination by a physician, including a current TB test. All State mandated clearance checks. Mandated Reporter Training.
  • Educational requirements for Lead Teachers: Have (or be enrolled in) a Bachelors or Associates degree program in Early Childhood or other related field of Education; Child Development Associate; or have credits in the field of Education.
  • Educational requirements for Assistant Teachers: A total of 2,500 hours of experience working with children; some Education courses preferred
