Job Summary
As a Substitute Teacher at Celebree School of Bristow, you will step in to support classrooms and ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. You will follow daily routines, assist with age-appropriate learning activities, and provide quality care that aligns with our commitment to early childhood education and development. This flexible, on-call position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with young children and thrive in dynamic, team-oriented environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Assist lead teachers in classroom management, ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Follow established lesson plans and daily routines.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate learning activities, games, and storytelling.
  • Assist with feeding, diapering/toileting, and other basic care needs.
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and a safe environment.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, staff, and parents.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Present a positive and professional image at all times, adhering to uniform requirements.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of childcare experience required.
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet local Virginia childcare licensing requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Flexibility and reliability for on-call or short-notice assignments.
