The Practice Management team works with stakeholders across TD Wealth to deeply understand needs and align with business strategy as we design, develop, and deliver best-in-class learning experiences for the advisors, leaders and support teams within TD Wealth's Advice businesses.

The Role: Learning Experience Designer

The Learning Experience Designer is responsible for incorporating adult education principles to manage the design, development and execution of innovative and dynamic solutions that increase learner engagement, enhance retention, develop capabilities, decrease time to proficiency, aid knowledge transfer, and drive behavioural outcomes.

Accountabilities

  • Design, development, testing, implementation, and evaluation of training solutions

  • Partner with a Learning Strategy Manager to deeply understand business gaps and objectives

  • Management of deliverables, stakeholders, resources, timelines, and critical success factors

  • Communication of regular updates to your people leader, requesting escalation where appropriate

  • Regular and proactive collaboration and peer-sharing

Required Capabilities

  • Design & develop innovative learning solutions (videos, eLearning, gamification, simulation, etc.) across a variety of modalities (ILT, VILT, hybrid, self-led) that range in size, scope, and complexity

  • Apply strong conceptual, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills; see the "big picture" in a complex environment

  • Think independently, take initiative to capitalize on opportunities, and minimize problems

  • Applyadult education theory, workplace learning, social learning, and storytelling to drive impact

  • Work comfortably independently and collaboratively; develop good relationships

  • Manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Employ impeccable written and verbal communication, strong planning, prioritization, and time management skills

  • Execute with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Create using L&D software (e.g. Articulate Storyline / Rise 360, Captivate, Rapid Video Development (e.g. Vyond, PowToon), Snagit, and Adobe Creative Suite)

Required Experience & Education

  • 3+ years of previous L&D experience

  • Post-secondary degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or similar

  • CTDP designation an asset
