The Digital Learning Centre of Excellence has a mandate to enable firmwide strategic learning objectives through a robust learning technology ecosystem and the delivery of solutions to meet cross-functional learning and performance needs.

The Learning Solutions Specialist supports the design, development, and delivery of national learning solutions that build workforce capability and enable business performance. Reporting to the Learning Solutions Manager and working closely with the Senior Manager, L&D, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders, the Learning Solutions Specialist helps translate business priorities into engaging, scalable, and effective learning experiences. The role combines instructional design, project coordination, and stakeholder collaboration to support the successful delivery and continuous improvement of learning solutions.

This position requires a proactive, client-focused professional with a growth mindset who is eager to learn, balance multiple priorities, and leverage data-driven insights, and contribute towards continuously improvement and high-quality delivery.


What you will do

Support the design, development, and delivery of learning solutions that enhance workforce capability and learner experience. Working collaboratively with and under the guidance of the Learning Solutions Manager and the Senior Manager, L&D, you will actively contribute towards end-to-end high-quality learning experiences that align with business priorities.

Learning Design

  • Partner with the learning and business stakeholders to gather learning requirements, clarify objectives, and support the design of learning solutions across multiple portfolios (e.g., sales enablement, digital, and human skills);
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to plan engaging, accessible, and learner-centred content; and
  • Proactively contribute ways to enhance engagement and capability development using stakeholder feedback, learner insights, and emerging learning practices.

Learning Development

  • Under the guidance of the Learning Solutions Manager, build and maintain high-quality learning assets, including facilitator guides, participant materials, digital learning materials, assessments, learning pathways, and communications;
  • Coordinate content reviews and updates to ensure learning materials remain current, compliant, and aligned with applicable standards; and
  • Support the on-schedule development of learning resources by coordinating timelines, resources, and providing stakeholder support.

Learning Delivery

  • Coordinate the successful delivery of learning initiatives, including program launches, pilot sessions, learner communications, participant registrations, facilitator and participant support, in-session facilitation support, and virtual and in-person delivery logistics to ensure a seamless learning experience;
  • Deliver on the day-to-day execution of learning programs and initiatives by monitoring participant and program progress, enabling stakeholder engagement, identifying and escalating risks and issues, and ensuring adherence to established timelines; and
  • Support the continuous improvement of learning solutions by gathering learner feedback, analyzing participation data, identifying opportunities for enhancement of the Learning Solutions portfolio.

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as Learning and Development, or Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting learning and development, instructional design, or talent development initiatives.
  • Experience in a professional services or similarly complex, matrixed organization is an asset.

  • Demonstrated initiative, a proactive approach to problem solving, and a growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship and communication skills (e.g., strong written and verbal).

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret learning data and recommend improvements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience developing and maintaining learning resources that support business and capability development needs.
  • Experience using learning technologies (e.g., Degreed), virtual learning platforms and Microsoft 365.
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled learning tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) is an asset.
  • Facilitation experience and relevant certifications (e.g., CTDP, APTD, CPTD) are considered assets.

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information 
The expected base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $82,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
