Job Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, driven Videographer who is passionate about their craft and obsessed with creating content that stops people in their tracks. This is a key role responsible for producing best-in-industry video content across our platforms-including product sizzle videos for PDPs, social and display ads, and beyond. You are a natural tastemaker who knows what great content looks like, stays on the pulse of trends, and brings an entrepreneurial mindset to every project. You don't just execute-you ideate, push boundaries, and find new ways to tell stories that connect with consumers and move them to share. You embrace AI and emerging technologies as tools to unlock better, faster, more innovative work. This role will report to the Associate Creative Director of Photo & Video and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where bold ideas are celebrated and the bar is always rising.
Key Responsibilities
  • Digital Concept Development: Generate bold, original video concepts for product launches, campaigns, and platform-specific content. Think beyond the brief-bring ideas that are unexpected, on-brand, and built to earn attention in a crowded feed.
  • Communicate: Overcome production roadblocks by connecting with sources of truth.
  • Produce Shoots: Be willing and able to pull a production together by identifying and hiring excellent talent, wardrobe, crew, location and other resources, all in line with brand standards.
  • Shoot, Direct, Edit: Personally handle all aspects of video creation from start to finish, outsourcing as needed.
  • Storyboard and Shot-list: Create preliminary shot lists and/or storyboards to ensure that production will meet the needs of stakeholders prior to shooting.
  • Storytelling & Brand Voice: Craft compelling narratives around our products and brands that resonate with consumers on an emotional level. Every video should have a clear story, a strong hook, and a reason for the viewer to keep watching, engage, and share.
  • Typography & Design: Place text callouts and other copy on videos in a way that is visually pleasing and on-brand.
  • Equipment Management: Keep an inventory of video gear, maintain it in good repair and recommend equipment purchases that will make significant improvements to output or efficiency.
  • Trend Analysis & Platform Intelligence: Maintain a sharp, current awareness of video trends across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and retail platforms. Proactively identify what's working, what's next, and how ZAGG can lead rather than follow. Actively explore and implement AI-powered tools to elevate quality and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work with 3D team, photo/video teammates, designers and others to complete work successfully. Contribute to a supportive and creative working environment.
  • Protect Assets: Maintain backups of all work in an organized storage system.
  • Data Asset Management: Properly tag all uploaded work to ensure easy location and utilization by teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Look for better ways to do things and provide recommendations. Maintain an appetite for learning and regularly pursue opportunities to develop professional skills.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in videography, or a related field, with a preference for online retail and channel-driven partnerships.
  • Expert in video production requirements across platforms including PDPs, social media (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube), display advertising, and retail channels. Deep understanding of format, aspect ratio, pacing, and spec requirements for each.
  • An ability to create concepts to articulate, inform, and validate ideas with stakeholders and channel partners (e.g., storyboards, wireframes, sketches, shot lists).
  • A high-energy, entrepreneurial spirit with a genuine passion for video and storytelling-someone who is self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and brings enthusiasm and positivity to every project. Embraces feedback as fuel and is always hungry to do their best work yet.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, ad structure, visual storytelling, and brand identity.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in video software, such as Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
  • A degree in videography, fine arts, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates exceptional taste, a range of styles, and a proven ability to create video content that connects emotionally with consumers-work that people stop for, engage with, and share. Portfolio should include product-focused content and social/digital ads.

All applications must include a portfolio link.
Why Join Us?
  • Join a dynamic and innovative company that values creativity and collaboration.
  • Opportunity to shape the visual identity of exciting projects and brands.
  • Competitive compensation package, including performance bonuses and benefits.
  • Work in a supportive environment that fosters professional growth and creative exploration.
