Description
The Training & Content Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining training materials and digital learning content for the USDA National Organic Program. This role supports the Organic Integrity Learning Center (OILC) by creating engaging, accessible, and compliant training modules and educational resources.
Key Responsibilities
Training Development- Design and develop online training modules for OILCย
- Create:ย
- Instructional contentย
- Lesson materialsย
- Quizzes and assessmentsย
- Ensure all training aligns with program objectives and regulatory requirementsย
Content Creation & Maintenance- Update and maintain existing training modulesย
- Develop written and visual content including:ย
- Graphicsย
- Videosย
- Instructional textย
- Ensure consistency with USDA branding and messagingย
Technical Development- Develop and edit content using:ย
- HTML and CSSย
- Learning Management Systems (LMS)ย
- Troubleshoot and maintain training module functionalityย
Accessibility & Compliance- Ensure all materials meet Section 508 accessibility requirementsย
- Apply federal style and usability standardsย
- Support testing and validation of training contentย
Collaboration & Support- Work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather requirementsย
- Support rollout of training and educational initiativesย
- Assist in development of supporting materials such as FAQs and job aidsย
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Communications, Education, or related fieldย
- 3-6 years of experience in:ย
- Training developmentย
- eLearning content creationย
- Experience with:ย
- LMS platformsย
- HTML/CSSย
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508)
