What is a learning assistant?

Learning Assistants are individuals who support students and instructors in educational settings, often in classrooms or labs. Learning Assistants are typically undergraduate students trained to use active learning techniques to improve student engagement and understanding. Their role is to create a positive and supportive learning environment, working alongside faculty to help students succeed.
