Responsibilities
Sabre Systems is seeking an experienced Curriculum Development Manager who will assist with establishing and managing the technical curriculum roadmaps and content within the NAVAIR Digital Acquisition Center of Expertise (DACE). These roadmaps rely heavily on deep understanding of the intersection of Knowledge/Skills/Abilities and requires experience across a wide variety of engineering and science domains. DACE is transforming best practices and lessons learned into scalable digitally enabled acquisition training required to build a resource pipeline for our leading-edge acquisition programs. The Curriculum Development Manager shall analyze DACE developed subject matter, evaluate required learning personas, assess available leverageable open-source material, and assess priority gapped areas of knowledge/expertise required on modern acquisition programs in order to develop a phased curriculum and published training, utilizing micro-learning techniques and a future cloud-based AI enabled learning environment. The Curriculum Development Team is required to teach acquisition professionals a modern digitally enabled acquisition approach that can produce program outcomes at the speed of relevance. This position is required on-site at NAVAIR South Engineering building as required and available for telework.
The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Understanding of learning personas, hierarchal concepts, underlying training content, and metadata relationships interplay within a structured learning environment to enable streamlined propagation of updated knowledge across personas
  • Understanding of how-to roadmap and phase development of training content to maximize adoption and learning
  • Utilization of micro-learning techniques in the development and publishing of training content
  • Plan out, stitch together and communicate learning paths to help learners achieve coherent understanding of the DACE approach to acquisition across lifecycle phases
  • Technical Writing/Script development, Video editing and content management for deploying short-form educational videos and associated materials.
  • Evaluate available training material across Academia and Industry, identifying applicable classes for rapid integration and utilization by DACE Early Adopter programs
  • Experience with large complex systems development, utilizing integrated ecosystems and integrated models connected to dynamic decisional and informational dashboards
  • Experience with the required functionality within a full lifecycle Digital Engineering Ecosystem to enable synchronized data from contributing organizations and dynamically informed decision making across programmatic and technical activities

Qualifications
Requirements:
  • Management, Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university.
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Business, Management, Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in training content and curriculum development with strong familiarity with defense acquisition systems.
  • Experience across engineering domains, cross-discipline intersectional knowledge graphs, academia, and modern engineering practices will be important for the person to be successful in the role.
  • Experience in various digital innovation or disruptive technology areas (e.g., internet of things, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics process automation).
  • Proven experience to support strategic initiatives, workforce development and organizational tasks.
  • Proven technical knowledge of curriculum development, training content and expert level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with government and industry stakeholders.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Compensation Statement
At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $131,500.00 - $146,300.00
