Job description

We are seeking a Lead Learning & Development Analytics professional with strong technical skills to lead the build-out of the next generation of QXO's learning analytics capability. This is a hands-on lead role, working directly with our learning management system, HR data warehouse, BI tools, and analytics environments to design and deliver dashboards, standardized reporting, and actionable insights across enterprise learning and development programs.
You will lead the design and delivery of automated reporting pipelines, visualizations, and analytics models that measure learning participation, completion, effectiveness, skill development, and business impact. You will serve as a lead analytics partner to Learning & Development, HR, business leaders, HRIS, Finance, and IT to ensure learning data is clean, integrated, governed, and actionable. This role is ideal for someone comfortable operating in a startup-like environment, building from the ground up, working in the grey, and establishing structure where it does not yet exist.

What you'll do:
LMS Data Engineering & Integration
  • Ingest, transform, and prepare data from Cornerstone or other learning management systems, Oracle, Oracle Fusion Analytics, HRIS platforms, and related learning content or vendor systems for use in the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Write efficient SQL queries to clean, join, and aggregate learner, course, curriculum, assignment, completion, assessment, skill, and organizational datasets.
  • Lead cross-functional partnership with L&D, HRIS, and IT to improve LMS configuration and front-end data capture processes, including learning assignments, course metadata, audience definitions, completion statuses, skills, and program taxonomy.
  • Own and evolve scalable data models and reporting structures that connect learning activity to employee, talent, workforce, and business outcomes.

Learning Analytics & Dashboard Development
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards in Power BI and Oracle Fusion Analytics, or equivalent BI tools, using data from Cornerstone, Oracle, and the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Automate recurring LMS reporting and create self-service data products for L&D leaders, HR partners, program owners, and business leaders.
  • Translate learning metrics into leader-friendly visuals and narratives that connect participation, completion, proficiency, skill development, and program outcomes to business priorities.

Program Measurement & Advanced Analytics
  • Lead the development and operationalization of measurement frameworks for learning programs, including adoption, completion, assessment performance, learner engagement, time to proficiency, skill progression, and program effectiveness.
  • Use SQL and, where appropriate, Python or R to perform data transformation, exploratory analysis, statistical analysis, and evaluation of learning outcomes.
  • Analyze learner feedback and other unstructured data to identify themes, improve the learning experience, and inform program design and investment decisions.

Governance, Enablement & Partnership
  • Own and evolve the learning data dictionary and drive consistent definitions for courses, curricula, assignments, completions, learning hours, skills, audiences, and program outcomes.
  • Ensure secure, governed access to employee and learning data, with appropriate role-based controls and privacy standards.
  • Lead enablement for L&D team members, HR partners, and program owners on how to use dashboards, interpret learning metrics, and apply insights to program and talent decisions.

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in Learning Analytics, Learning & Development Operations, People Analytics, Workforce Analytics, or Business Analytics with a strong technical focus, including experience leading cross-functional analytics workstreams.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and building from the ground up; thrives in a startup-style culture of experimentation and iteration.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with data modeling, data transformation, and integrating data across LMS, HRIS, and enterprise data sources; proficiency with Python or R is a plus.
  • Experience building dashboards and semantic models in Power BI; experience with Oracle Fusion Analytics or comparable enterprise analytics platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with LMS reporting and analytics, preferably Cornerstone; experience with Oracle Learning, Oracle HCM, or related Oracle platforms is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of learning data governance, security, LMS data structures, and common learning and development metrics.
  • Excellent communication, consulting, and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear recommendations, guide stakeholder decisions, and build alignment with executives, L&D leaders, and business stakeholders.
