This is a part time 20-hour paid internship!

 Location: 3003 N Central Ave Ste 400, Phoenix, AZ 85012

Flexible hours

Ability to work on occasion, at night and/or weekends in order to assist at events.

Ability to increase hours if needed between October 26, 2026 – November 14, 2026

Must have Experience with Event Planning and Management

The Development intern will work to support the Director of Development and the Development team on key projects for Terros Health  

Under the supervision of a qualified Terros Health professional; the intern will perform tasks related to their specific area of study and the Intern learning Contract. In a highly professional healthcare setting provided by Terros Health; the student will be given an opportunity to apply, and continue to learn by practical application the principals, theory, and knowledge from their related course work.

  Duties include:

  • Event Planning and Production: Assist Development team as requested in research for event space contracts, options for arrangement of food and beverage, order supplies and audiovisual equipment, and appropriate décor to meet the quality expectations of Terros Health.
  • In cooperation with the Development team, conduct research, make site visits, and find resources to help staff make decisions about event possibilities.
  • When requested, serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters.
  • Assist with managing on-site production and clean up for events as necessary.
  • In cooperation with the Development team, propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process with a focus on stakeholder satisfaction. 
  • Prepare event materials.
  • As requested, keep track of event check requests, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Coordinate appointments and scheduling.
  • High School or GED required, Active within a Bachelor’s degree program in English, Communication, Business Management, or related field preferred.
  • Years experience – Minimum of 1 year of event coordination, planning or communications as a paid employee or in a volunteer capacity.
  • Skills preferred/required – solid communication skills, ability to juggle multiple projects and keep on track of deadlines, detail-oriented, good people person.
  • Proficient in written and oral communications
  • Experience and comfort working within a team structure.
  • Experience with working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with a minimum of 4 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy
  • Must pass a TB test
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
