This opportunity comes at an exciting time of growth and evolution for our Business Transformation Practice. Our mission is to support the success of M&A transactions across the full deal lifecycle: pre-deal assessment, operational due diligence, and post-close integration. We help clients achieve their strategic and operational goals, working through a people, process, and technology lens to deliver sustainable results by addressing:

  • People: Aligning organizational structures, spans and layers, decision rights, and talent across entities.

  • Processes: Standardizing workflows to remove inefficiencies and improve collaboration across functions.

  • Technology: Integrating systems and data to support timely, accurate decision-making.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Extensive experience in M&A integration and strategic operations.

  • Direct experience with operational due diligence, both pre-deal assessment and post-close integration.

  • Deep operating-model experience: organization design, spans and layers, decision rights, and headcount modeling.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in high-stakes environments.

  • An FP&A foundation across budgeting, forecasting, reporting, close, and cash flow forecasting, with the skill to connect financial logic to operating decisions.

  • Command of SG&A analysis: run-rate builds, HoldCo versus project-level splits, and peer benchmarking.

  • Strong financial modeling skills and comfort working from trial balances, headcount data, and a data room.

  • Strong project management expertise, including the ability to oversee large-scale, complex initiatives.

  • Deep understanding of post-merger integration best practices, with a focus on delivering measurable results.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to manage competing priorities and balance short-term wins with long-term goals.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to foster alignment across diverse groups and cultures.

  • A focus on driving results while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead M&A engagements across the deal lifecycle, from pre-deal assessment and operational due diligence through post-close integration.

  • Lead operational due diligence on acquisition targets and platforms. Validate operational viability, surface risks and liabilities early, and quantify cost takeout and synergy opportunities.

  • Assess the current state across people, process, and technology. Map processes end to end, flag manual steps, and score functional maturity against peers.

  • Design future-state operating models, setting spans, layers, decision rights, roles, and headcount for the combined or standalone business.

  • Own the financial analysis. Build the SG&A run-rate, the headcount scaling model, and the current-to-pro-forma bridge, and benchmark against relevant peers.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance and actionable recommendations during the integration process.

  • Develop and execute integration plans that address people, processes, and technology to enable smooth transitions and synergies.

  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams, ensuring alignment across operations, such as accounting, finance, HR, IT, and other critical areas.

  • Monitor and measure integration progress, identifying risks and opportunities and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

  • Facilitate stakeholder communication and engagement to maintain alignment and momentum during integration.

  • Build strong client relationships, instilling confidence and ensuring satisfaction throughout the integration process.

  • Mentor and guide internal teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Stay informed on market trends and best practices in M&A integration to enhance client outcomes and drive innovation.

  • Analyze current-state processes and design future-state based on industry and firm best practices.

Qualifications:
