Key Responsibilities
RWDI is looking for a Business Development Coordinator in our Warren, MI office. BDC's work closely with our Project Managers to grow and diversify RWDI business within a geographic region. The BDC follows global company sales processes to build strong client connections, identify project leads, and convert them into opportunities for Project Managers.
The role includes but is not limited to the following within the assigned region:
1. Regional Sales Budget Execution
  • Collaborate with the Project Delivery Manager to create yearly and quarterly regional sales plans and effectively prioritize the approved budget to activities within the region to enhance client engagement and grow RWDI business.
  • Monitor the regional sales budget so that all planned activities can take place within the fiscal year.

2. Enhance Client Engagement
  • Identify and connect with clients in the region to coordinate meetings and open the door for Project Managers to discuss RWDI services and value proposition
  • Execute Sales/Marketing Trips and Virtual Meetings for Project Managers in the region - schedule and coordinate meetings, then enter all notes and follow-up activities into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Regional Events and Conferences - identify Client Appreciation or Office openings, Education Days, local events and conferences, and coordinate approved regional events; attend selective events. Track notes and follow-up in CRM.
  • Lunch and Learns / Presentations - plan and coordinate Lunch and Learns with the client, coordinate post-Lunch and Learn follow-up, and track all information, notes, and follow-up in CRM.
  • Client Maintenance - monitor proposal activity by client and key relationships within the region to identify clients that might be at risk (i.e. declining business, competitor engagement, etc.), monitor ROI at the client level, ensure RWDI has consistent touch points with clients
  • Research Market Trendsto identify new opportunities and clients

3. Identify Project Leads
  • Identify qualified Request for Proposals (RFPs) to submit directly to a client or multi-team bidding opportunities for RWDI to participate
  • Maintain data in the CRM

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
We are currently accepting applications from candidates with the following skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business is preferred. Candidates with alternate tertiary education qualifications will be considered.
  • Ideally, we are seeking candidates with 2+ years previous experience in in business development in the Architectural, Engineering or Construction (AEC) field or business development of B2B services.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to deliver on commitments and exceed expectations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where it is necessary to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing activities.
  • A curiosity to learn
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement CRM using customer journeys, setting up regional sales campaigns, measuring ROI of events and customer engagement. Similar experience using other CRM platforms will be considered.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications, specifically Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.
