Job description

Trinity Rail is searching for a NDT Supervisor in our Saginaw, TX location.  We provide a complete array of railcar maintenance services.

In this role the NDT Supervisor will lead and oversee the NDT daily operations, ensuring quality products are designed, engineered, and manufactured by Trinity. This position will also be responsible for developing and implementing programs and processes to ensure that Trinity products are safe, legal, and meet or exceed customer expectations for compliance with national, regional, and global regulations. You'll follow appropriate procedures and diagnostic inspection and perform maintenance, modification, and rehabilitation of fabricated metal products and supporting operating systems according to work orders, blueprints, and schematics.

What you'll do:

 Process adherence - Standard operating procedures

 Product conformity - inspections

 Continual improvement and Root cause correction Analysis

 Supervise the daily activities of non-exempt and hourly employees including NDT Inspectors

 Work with QA Administrators for Customer and product specific Quality records

 Perform complex troubleshooting and repair of NDT Equipment.

 Lead a team by assigning tasks

 Have knowledge and understanding of welding and inspection of weldments

 Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

Bachelor's Degree (Technical, Industrial, or Engineering) or relevant experience

Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required

Possesses knowledge and understanding of welding and inspection of weldments

Need an understanding/experience in the following key processes, industry standards and operational best practices:

*AWS (American Welding Society)

*Weld Visual Inspection, based on AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code for steel

*AAR Manufacturing Standards and Recommended Practices

*UT (Ultrasonic Testing)

*VT (Visual Testing)

*PT (Penetrant Testing)

*MT (Magnetic Particle Testing)

*RVT (Remote Visual Testing)

*BT (Bubble Leak Testing)
