We are seeking an associate to join the Enterprise Strategy & Planning team to oversee the alignment and execution of approved strategic initiatives & programs. The Enterprise Strategy & Planning team enables strategy development and resource alignment to support strategy execution. The team provides leadership and capabilities around strategic planning & development, program & project management, business planning, and corporate venture.
As an enterprise PMO program manager, you will be responsible for effective and efficient planning and execution of the initiatives to deliver results on time, on budget. This position will require engagement with VP's and Directors leading strategic initiatives and transparent communication will be key. A high degree of business acumen, ability to collaborate and influence all personality types, and efficient facilitation is key.
This position is hybrid role and will be located on-site in Newport News, VA. We may consider a remote opportunity for the right individual.
This is a hybrid position based in Newport News, VA, with regular on-site work required. Remote opportunity may be considered for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
  • Program Leadership: Lead the end-to-end management of strategic programs. Act as a strategic thought partner.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Drive alignment and synergy across customer groups, business, functions (e.g., Technology, HR, Finance etc) and other key stakeholder groups to ensure seamless program execution and effective communication.
  • Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive program plans, proactively manage dependencies and risks, and ensure adherence to budgetary and resource allocation parameters.
  • Outcome-Driven Management: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure programs achieve intended business outcomes, with a focus on value realization and return on investment (ROI).
  • Program Management Excellence: Mentor and guide project/ program management personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the organization.
  • Program Governance: Establish solid governance that includes managing risks & dependencies.
  • Fosters Open Communication: Eloquent in communicating with stakeholders at varied levels and promotes consistent reporting.
  • Drives Accountability: A strong natural leadership style that motivates and inspires excellence and drives high standards for individual, team, and organizational accomplishment through teamwork and empowerment; tenaciously work to meet or exceed challenging goals and foster continuous improvement.

Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 7+ years' experience with project management
  • 5+ years' experience functional experience in implementing process changes and running large, complex projects
  • 5+ years of experience in large-scale Programs/Projects

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience across multiple project types including technology and non-technology projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
  • Previous work-related experiences managing programs and analyzing complex execution plans, managing and/or facilitating identification of risks, issues and decisions and driving general governance and alignment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Solid understanding in project management, principles and practices for planning, scheduling, resource allocation, monitoring, and evaluating projects.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on problem solving and resolution
  • Able to drive decision making across all levels of the organization, across multi-disciplined and matrixed teams
  • Strong team building, coaching, and development skills
  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Ability to plan and implement short- and long-term initiative plans and goals
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports for varied stakeholders

Pay Range:
$7,425.00 - $12,100.00
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
