Team Lead, Software QA Engineer for Research & Diagnostic Systems, Inc., Minneapolis, MN

Target Salary Range: $124,900 to $125,200

Hybrid work model, onsite 3 days/week

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test scripts for IT data projects, including database testing (SQL queries for data validation) and API testing using tools like Postman.
  • Evaluate and refine testing strategies for proposed projects, offering insights on complex issues through deep analysis of data and variable factors.
  • Identify, triage, and document incidents related to internal data systems, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
  • Oversee and maintain the issue tracking process, leveraging a strong understanding of the organization’s data ecosystem to prioritize and address issues effectively.
  • Lead both manual and automated testing efforts, ensuring complete platform test coverage. Utilize test automation tools such as Leapwork and Selenium, with scripting proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to diagnose and resolve defects, contributing to faster delivery and improved software quality.
  • Drive continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices, with hands‑on experience in version control, branching strategies and pipeline management using Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Champion QA best practices and team collaboration, driving continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering or related field and six (6) years of experience as a software quality assurance engineer or related occupation.

  • Six (6) years of experience working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Six (6) years of experience applying an integrated understanding of an organization’s data ecosystems.
  • Six (6) years of experience scripting with Python, Java and JavaScript.
  • Six (6) years of experience in test automation with tools such as Leapwork and Selenium.
  • Six (6) years of experience in database testing and writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
  • Six (6) years of experience in CI/CD, DevOps Integration and Git.
  • Six (6) years of experience in version control systems and Git branching strategies.
  • Six (6) years of experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
