Job description

Lead Sign InstallerOverview

The Lead Sign Installer is responsible for safely installing, servicing, and removing a wide range of interior and exterior signage while leading field operations and mentoring junior team members.

This role blends hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, including crew coordination, equipment oversight, and collaboration with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Installation & Field Work

  • Install, service, and remove signage including channel letters, monument signs, pylon signs, wall graphics, and window films
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, site surveys, and installation drawings
  • Perform electrical connections for illuminated signage in accordance with local codes
  • Conduct pre-installation site assessments to verify measurements, site access, and potential obstacles
  • Troubleshoot field issues and adjust installation methods as needed
  • Ensure all punch list items are completed before leaving job sites

Equipment & Safety

  • Operate aerial lifts, boom lifts, bucket trucks, and other equipment safely
  • Follow OSHA standards and company safety protocols at all times
  • Maintain installation vehicles in a clean, organized, and ready condition
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document findings
  • Schedule and track preventative maintenance such as oil changes and inspections
  • Ensure vehicles meet transportation regulations and company branding standards

Documentation & Communication

  • Take job completion photos and submit detailed reports
  • Provide daily updates to project managers on job status, schedules, and needs
  • Identify and report scope changes, field issues, and client requests
  • Assist with time and material estimates for upcoming projects

Leadership & Training

  • Lead installation crews and ensure quality and safety standards are met

  • Experience installing channel letters, monument signs, pylon signs, and similar signage

Work Environment

This is a field-based role that requires regular travel to job sites throughout the region using company provided vehicle. Work takes place primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and precipitation.
