Position: Underground Pipe Leadman

Location: Tempe, AZ

Employment Type: Full-Time

NORTH STAR PIPELINES is a leading underground wet utility contractor. We specialize in sewer, water, and storm drain installations for commercial projects in the phoenix metro area. We have been locally owned and operated since 1991.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Leadman for underground pipe to lead field crews in the installation of wet utility systems, including water, sewer, and storm drain. The ideal candidate is a hands-on worker with pipe and trenching knowledge.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Lead pipe laying activities daily
  • Read blueprints, and staking
  • Ensure work is completed safely and effectively
  • Coordinate with Foreman, Superintendent and Inspectors
  • Operate equipment as needed and assist crew when required
  • Experience in underground wet utilities (water, sewer, storm drain)
  • Valid driver's license

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with trenching
  • Experience with shoring
  • Experience with pipe installation
  • Equipment operation (backhoes, excavators, loaders, etc.)
