It is the largest investor-owned water utility in New England and among the seven largest in the U.S. Based in Bridgeport, CT, it has been in the public water supply business since 1857. Across its operations, Aquarion strives to act as a responsible steward of the environment and to assist the communities it serves in promoting sustainable practices. Aquarion Water Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eversource.

Job Summary

Aquarion Water Company is seeking safety conscious drivers to play a key role in our Irrigation Demand Management (DM) program. This position will patrol designated areas to ensure property owners are following their mandated irrigation schedules - helping to conserve water and support our community. If you enjoy being on the road and making a positive impact, this is a great opportunity to join our team!

Principal Responsibilities
  • Ideal candidate will be available April to October, however candidates available only during summer months will be considered.
  • Drivers will safely drive an Aquarion vehicle, frequently stopping to photograph properties that are irrigating on non-irrigation days then upload the address and photo to an Aquarion app via Aquarion provided phone.
  • Basic knowledge of technology ie phone use.
Preferred Requirements
  • Must be 22 years of age or older
  • Safe Driving Record
  • Hard working, self-motivating
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background check and DMV check required
Education/Certifications
  • Technical Trade School, High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license is required.
Salary
  • This is a temporary, part-time, non-benefit eligible position
  • Days and Hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday (4:00AM to 12:00PM)
  • Salary will be $18.00/hour
  • Successful candidates will be based in Fairfield County
