Job description

Celonis is the global leader in Process Intelligence and the pioneer of Process Mining technology. As one of the world's fastest-growing enterprise SaaS companies, we are changemakers pushing the boundaries of what's possible. We invest heavily in advanced AI capabilities-specifically our Process Intelligence Graph-to turn data insights into immediate business action. We believe there is a massive opportunity to unlock global productivity and sustainability by placing intelligence at the core of every business process. Join our mission to make processes work for people, companies, and the planet.
Are you a digital transformation leader ready to architect the AI-driven future of the Energy sector?
This is not a standard process optimization role. We are looking for a Lead Value Engineer to own customer success and drive high-stakes SaaS and AI adoption across top-tier O&G enterprise accounts. You will serve as the strategic bridge-translating complex business needs into technical strategy. As a trusted advisor to C-suite executives (COO, CFO, CTO), you will blend deep operational Oil & Gas DNA with elite management consulting and an AI-first mindset to realize maximum customer value.
The Impact You Will Drive
  • Value Architecture: Translate executive priorities into AI use cases (optimization, maintenance, decarbonization) and Value Realization Frameworks.
  • Solution Blueprints: Architect scalable, end-to-end data flows to resolve complex operational bottlenecks (refinery, pipeline, reservoir).
  • Financial Quantification: Build data-backed business cases driving $10M+ in CAPEX/OPEX savings.
  • Executive Advisory: Deliver high-stakes value narratives to C-suite stakeholders and supermajor leadership to accelerate software pipelines.
  • Process Transformation: Automate field-to-back-office workflows using Master Black Belt methodologies while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end customer value journey from technical discovery and pilots through to QBRs.

Who You Are: The Ideal Background
You are a strategic leader with 7-10 years of experience navigating unstructured enterprise problems. To be successful in this role, you must possess a hybrid background that bridges heavy industry and elite business strategy. We are looking for candidates who fit one of the following trajectories:
  • The O&G Operator turned Consultant: You began your career in the field, engineering, or operations at a supermajor, independent operator, or major oilfield services company, and subsequently pivoted into Management Consulting, Strategy, or SaaS Value Engineering.
  • The Consultant turned O&G Digital Strategist: You began your career at an MBB, Big 4, or elite tech consultancy, built a deep portfolio of quantified business cases in digital transformation, and subsequently specialized heavily within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or heavy industrial sectors.

The Non-Negotiables
  • Value-Led Consulting: Proven track record in consultative value-selling for enterprise SaaS digital transformations.
  • Next-Gen Tech Fluency: Functional understanding of Generative AI, process mining, and their intersection with enterprise ERPs (SAP/Oracle).
  • O&G Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge in 2+ areas across Drilling/Completions, Production Allocation, Asset Reliability, Supply Chain, or Refining Operations.
  • Back-Office & Compliance: Strong grasp of JV/Revenue Accounting, Field Service Management (FSM), and major regulatory frameworks (PHMSA, EPA, BSEE).

Education & Certifications
  • B.S. or M.S. in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Business/Finance.
  • LSS Black Belt, Lean/Six Sigma, or Advanced Data Analytics certifications are a major plus.

Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.
