Job description

Paints exterior and/or interior areas of the company’s properties along with training new recruits with organized work flow. Maintains employees time schedule, vehicles, and reports to a direct supervisor.

Prepares area(s) to be painted by cleaning, or if necessary, scraping, sanding, patching and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, etc.

  • Maintains inventory of paint, paint brushes, and other painting supplies in accordance with Management’s instructions.
  • Paints areas as instructed by maintenance supervisor or property manager, utilizing appropriate finishes and applications.
  • Follows OSHA/MSDS guidelines with respect to use of hazardous chemicals; uses proper ventilation when using paint removers, varnishes, cleaners, etc.
  • Familiarizes him/herself with storage and disposal laws, regulations, codes, etc.
  • Thoroughly cleans area, supplies and equipment when project is completed.
  • Puts remaining paint and supplies in proper location.
  • May assist with special maintenance projects as needed.
