Position Overview

As a Lead HVAC Installation Technician, you will be responsible for leading residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish. This includes overseeing system installs, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, communicating with internal teams, and helping train and guide junior installers.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced installer who wants to take ownership of projects, lead by example, and continue building a long-term career with a growing HVAC company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation of HVAC systems, equipment, and replacement components in accordance with company standards and safety requirements
  • Measure, fabricate, and install custom ductwork, fittings, and related materials as needed
  • Supervise and support HVAC Installer Helpers while helping them build their skills
  • Complete required job documentation accurately and on time
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch, management, and installation team members to keep jobs running smoothly
  • Keep company vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials clean, organized, and properly stocked
  • Represent Cloud Comfort HVAC professionally in customer homes and on job sites
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and provide a positive customer experience
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to continue improving technical and leadership skills
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of HVAC installation experience
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, installation practices, and applicable codes
  • CFC Certification Type I & II required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while also managing and supporting a team
  • Knowledge of N.C. Mechanical and Electrical Codes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stay professional and solution-focused in changing or high-pressure situations
  • Physical ability to work outdoors, in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined areas
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
