Smashing Dishes, the newest brand from Tony Caters seeks experienced Event Bartender to work on-call for our events throughout the Bay Area. You will collaborate with the Back of House team to ensure clients have a delicious and positive event.

Founded in 2009, Tony Caters is a dynamic, well-regarded off-site catering company that produces events in the South Bay and all around the greater Bay Area. We also have 2 additional cafes located inside The Tech Interactive Museum in downtown San Jose and at the Winchester Mystery House.

As an Event Bartender, you will be primarily responsible for the Bar up and making and serving drinks to patrons at catered events. This is an on-call position with a pay rate of $25/hour plus tips.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and tear down bar stations and associated product, under direct supervision from main Event Lead and/or Bar Team Lead
  • Experience with providing warm + efficient bar service at special events
  • Knowledge of general bar set-ups and how to make all common drink requests and follow recipes when required
  • Comfortable and physically able to move tables, carry ice, move bars, remove trash and set-up bar - all with a sense of urgency to client timeline
  • Ability to buy into an established process
  • Ability to both accept and provide constructive feedback
  • Physical ability to participate in the essential physical duties of the job including load/ unload and set-up for off-premise events

Requirements:

  • RBS certification
  • Prior bartending experience
  • Friendly and upbeat attitude is a must!
  • Responsible, accountable and task-oriented
  • Must be able to work continuously while standing for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, pull and push materials/products to complete assigned job tasks
