Job description

Seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to lead capital projects, facility expansions, and process upgrades from initial design through construction, commissioning, and startup.

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical and instrumentation engineering for capital projects.
  • Develop scopes, specifications, design criteria, and technical requirements.
  • Review work completed by EPC firms, contractors, vendors, and system integrators.
  • Support industrial power distribution, motors, VFDs, MCCs, switchgear, grounding, and emergency power systems.
  • Review P&IDs, instrument specifications, I/O lists, loop diagrams, controls, and electrical studies.
  • Coordinate PLC, HMI, industrial network, and equipment interfaces.
  • Support construction, testing, loop checks, commissioning, and startup.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, ISA, OSHA, and hazardous-area requirements.
Experience
  • BS in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of electrical and instrumentation engineering experience in chemical, petrochemical, energy, or manufacturing environments.
  • Capital project experience from design through startup.
  • Strong industrial power distribution and process instrumentation knowledge.
  • Experience overseeing EPC firms, vendors, and contractors.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, industrial controls, electrical studies, and hazardous-area installations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project-management skills.
