As a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect at JPMorganChase within Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, you are an integral part of a team that develops high-quality cybersecurity solutions for software applications and platform products. You will drive meaningful business impact by applying deep technical expertise and structured problem-solving to address complex cybersecurity architecture challenges spanning multiple technology domains. You will collaborate closely with engineers and senior stakeholders to help teams build secure, scalable solutions that keep pace with evolving threats and business needs.

Job responsibilities

  • Guide the evaluation of current cybersecurity principles, processes, and controls, and lead assessments of new technologies using established standards and frameworks
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance to support the business, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Partner with stakeholders and senior leaders to recommend business and technology modifications during periods of heightened vulnerability
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more cybersecurity architecture domains
  • Advocate for secure engineering practices and promote consistent use of shared frameworks, tools, and software development life cycle practices
  • Influence peers and project decision-makers to evaluate and apply leading-edge technologies where they improve security outcomes

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on cybersecurity architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on experience delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages or development platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, applications, and technical processes, with deep expertise in at least one technical discipline (for example, public cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile)
  • Ability to independently solve complex design and functionality problems with minimal guidance
  • Practical cloud-native experience designing and implementing secure solutions
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend solutions aligned to a target-state architecture

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience applying industry security frameworks and architecture practices (for example, National Institute of Standards and Technology or International Organization for Standardization)
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (for example, Certified Information Systems Security Professional or Certified Cloud Security Professional)
  • Experience with threat modeling and secure design reviews across application and platform ecosystems
  • Experience building reusable security patterns, reference architectures, and guardrails for cloud services and distributed systems
  • Experience coaching and influencing cross-functional teams to adopt secure-by-design practices
